Android Pay making its way to five new countries with PayPal support

Google has announced plans to launch Android Pay in five more countries — Brazil, Canada, Russia, Spain and Taiwan — this year. With the latest additions, the mobile payment platform will be available in a total of 15 countries, brining it on par with Apple Pay.

That’s not the best news, though. Big G also revealed that it’s in the final stages of streamlining the mobile checkout experience for PayPal users. At present, the feature is only available for customers in the U.S., but will make its way to other regions in the not-too-distant future.

OK Google, order me a pizza

On a related note, Google’s working on baking its mobile payment system into Google Assistant, which should make it easier than ever to purchase food and a slew of other products. Just open Assistant, say you want a takeout and it will show you results, ask you follow-up questions and charge the credit card you have on file.

Welcome to the future, folks.
